Hours: Primarily 7:30 - 4:00pm Monday - Friday (at time, working hours may be earlier or later)

Provide administrative support for Miles Sand & Gravel Company’s Corporate Programs which includes Safety, Environmental, Marketing, Facilities, Fleet, Accounting, Insurance, Travel and other programs. The successful candidate will provide general administrative support and regulatory record keeping services for the company. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Organize and accurately maintain filing systems for corporate programs (confidential and non-confidential), for paper and electronic files.
Assist in review and management of insurance claims and accidents from time of occurrence to resolution.
Provide technical safety and health support to production and transportation personnel, including facilitation of training.
Assist with coordinating employee safety training, job fairs, employee appreciation events and other company related functions as may be required. Work hours for these events/functions may be outside primary working hours noted above.
Work closely with staff in all aspects of the company.
Coordinate with supervisors to order, inventory and dispense employee personal protective equipment.
Assist with the creation of internal company memorandum, newsletters, marketing materials and specific training programs.
Maintain and update data system for corporate programs.
Assist with the administration of the Company’s safety incentive program.
Coordinate with contractors, suppliers and vendors for various facility repairs.
Assist with internal and external injury and incident management, including communications and coordination with insurance provider for workers compensation, general liability and auto claims.
Assist with creating and managing document tracking systems and create spreadsheets and forms.
Submit required regulatory agency reports as may be required.
Book travel arrangements for employees.
Other duties as assigned.

Ability to work with challenging claimants on insurance issues.
Experience in working with MSHA/OSHA/L&I rules and requirements is highly desired.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to be a self-starter who is capable of completing job duties with minimal supervision.
The ability to work as a member of a team and the ability to promote the benefits of working together as a team.
The ability to function in an office environment as well as the Company’s industrial environment including outdoor weather conditions.
Strong technology skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft products. Experience with doForms is a plus.
