What you’ll do
THIS IS A SWING SHIFT POSITION
Supervise and direct day to day Diesel Mechanic / Shop operations including the managing, along with, leading and training of employees on the proper repair / maintenance of all Diesel equipment in the Miles fleet.
Have a full understanding of quality control associated with the proper repair / maintenance of all Diesel equipment.
Adjustments that may need to be made during the repair / maintenance process to ensure quality produced meet or exceed the required specifications.
Evaluate, problem solve, plan and organize daily production and preventative maintenance.
Maintain safety at all times and comply with the safety standards of both Miles Sand & Gravel, and State / Federal requirements.
Approves purchases of material that may be necessary to complete assigned duties and tasks.
What We’re Looking For:
2 years of supervisory experience and 4 years mechanical experience
Troubleshoot and repair engines, transmissions, drive train components, undercarriage, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatics, fuel systems, PLCs, heating and air conditioning, and other related items.
Be a leader by being, honest, responsible and trustworthy with confidential information.
A self-starter who can establish and maintain a schedule including, maintenance and repair of equipment and meeting a deadline
The ability to represent the company in a professional and ethical manner.
Excellent in communication skills, including the ability to apply both written and verbal instructions in an industrial environment.
Have a valid WA State Driver’s license with a clean and insurable driving record and be capable of maintaining a clean and insurable driving record.
Experience in the Aggregates industry is highly desired.
