Aggregate Production Site Supervisor
Job Description:
Miles Sand & Gravel Company is seeking an experienced Aggregate Production Site Supervisor. The successful candidate must be highly organized, able to efficiently and effectively coordinate numerous tasks and be physically and mentally involved in all aspects of plant production and projects. All Site Supervisors must be capable of working as a member of a team with managers and employees in all aspects of the company.
Job Skills and Requirements:
Oversee and direct day to day aggregate production operations including the managing, leading and training of employees on the proper operation of all aggregate processing equipment and conveyance systems
Have a full understanding of quality control associated with aggregate production including adjustments that may need to be made during the manufacturing process to ensure products produced meet or exceed the required specifications.
Have a working knowledge of aggregate plant operations and possess the mechanical ability and aptitude to troubleshoot, repair and maintain plants and equipment on a pro-active, preventative basis.
Evaluate, problem solve, plan and organize daily production and preventative maintenance.
Maintain safety and safe mining and production procedures at all times and comply with the regulations of all jurisdictional authorities (MSHA, OSHA, DOE, EPA, County, State, etc.).
As directed by Manager, purchase materials that may be necessary to complete assigned duties and tasks.
Review, assure compliance and approve employee timecards, vacation requests, sick leave requests, etc.
Operate various types of heavy equipment such as front end loaders, backhoes, man-lifts, forklifts, cranes and other related equipment that may be necessary to safely and efficiently complete the project.
Fully comprehend and utilize proper rigging and lifting equipment and techniques when securing, attaching and lifting loads.
Perform various tasks with basic hand, electric and pneumatic tools. Able to arc weld (stick and wire) and use an oxygen/acetylene cutting torch.
Have the ability to fabricate with steel or other various types of materials.
Have basic plumbing skills and knowledge of electrical (120, 240 & 480 volt).
Capable of working in tight or confined spaces and be able to follow proper procedures.
Wear a full face mask respirator in dusty environments.
Be able to perform tasks at high elevations including the use of ladders, lifts, platforms and proper fall protection as may be required
Have the ability to occasionally lift up to 100 lbs. and be able to stand or kneel and work in all types of weather conditions for long periods of time.
On occasion, travel to other company facilities to assist with projects and maintenance as may be required.
Occasional work after normal hours, including some Saturday’s may be required.

- Have a valid WA State Driver’s license with a clean and insurable driving record and be capable of maintaining a clean and insurable driving record.
