Job Description:

Miles Sand and Gravel is looking for a skilled Mechanic with knowledge of large equipment.  One that enjoys working

working in a large, well appointed, clean and heated shop located on the edge of Enumclaw WA.  Monday to Friday day shift.

 

  • Troubleshoot and repair engines, transmissions, drive train components, undercarriage, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatics, fuel systems, PLCs, heating and air conditioning, and other related items.
  • Comprehend, and apply electrical and hydraulic schematics to repair work.
  • Disassemble, clean, recondition, inspect, assemble, and test components.
  • Demonstrate the ability to use diagnostic equipment and specialty tools to troubleshoot and repair components.
  • Make field and emergency repairs as necessary.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and service manuals.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Skills and Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of mechanical experience and/or education on yellow iron equipment.
  • Caterpillar experience preferred.
  • Welding and fabricating a plus.
  • Must possess a complete set of heavy equipment tools and a roll-a-way tool box necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Clean, insurable driving record, CDL a plus.
  • Drug free.
