Job Description:
Miles Sand & Gravel Company (Miles) is looking to fill a Quality Control (QC) position. The successful candidate will be highly organized, able to monitor product performance and take our products to the next level in terms of safety, security and accuracy.
The ideal candidate should be capable of the following essential tasks;
Follow established quality control procedures to test and monitor production of Miles manufactured aggregates and concrete to assure consistent compliance with desired specifications.
Interpret test results and be capable of communicating test results and variances to managers and supervisors.
Analyze existing and future sources of materials.
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills & attributes;
Excellent verbal, written, math and interpersonal skills.
A self-starter who can 1) work independently, diligently and responsibly with minimal supervision 2) work as a member of a team 3) manage their time wisely 4) multi-task 5) meet a deadline.
Be physically capable of performing job tasks including safely lifting and transporting test equipment and samples.
Have the ability and desire to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
Have a valid WA State Driver’s license with a clean and insurable driving record and be capable of maintaining a clean and insurable driving record.
Required Education and/or Experience;
Experience as a QC Technician in the Concrete or Aggregates industry is highly desired.
A high school diploma or equivalent.
